In 1979 Spyros Strogilis, together with his son Leonidas, founded the company ''Strogilis Marbles'' in Livadeia. A small business that was dedicated to the trading and processing of marbles and granites.
After hard work and knowledge of the market the company manages to become a leader in the marble industry. As a result of continuous development, in 1989 the company purchased a new plot of land of 30,000 sq.m. with modern facilities of 2,000 sq.m. and state-of-the-art for the time mechanical equipment.
In 1990 the first exports to the USA, Japan and Italy begin. The company started to exploit its quarries French Vanilla, Santa Elena and Desert Peach, as well as to participate in the largest exhibitions worldwide, making the marbles from its quarries known and channelling them to the world market.
In 2002 the company moves to new privately owned facilities on the main road network between Livadeia and Athens. There a new factory with modern mechanical equipment was built.
Investment and Modernisation
In 2006 the company implements a new investment plan which includes a new 500m2 showroom building and 3 new production machines.
The New Generation
In 2013, Leonidas' son Spyros enters the business with inventiveness and a new business plan, with a clear focus on the further development of the company within and outside the borders. Thus, innovative ideas and new perception are perfectly combined with 40 years of experience having an excellent result.
In 2016 the company expanded by purchasing new land and mechanical equipment (CNC machine and new external crane bridge) as the available raw materials were so much that such a move was required.
In 2022 The company implemented a new investment plan that included the purchase of a new 5-axis CNC robotic machine, 2 new gantry cranes, a photovoltaic system on the roof in order to be energy independent, a new ISO quality assurance system, renewed all indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, as well as the purchase of new real estate near the main facilities.
